Apex Group Ltd., a leading global financial services provider, has entered into a long-term partnership with Slice Sports, a female-led private equity platform, to broaden institutional access to high-growth sports investments.

Under the agreement, Apex Group will deliver end-to-end fund administration services for Slice Sports Private Equity Fund I and a series of Slice Sports Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), starting with Slice Sports SPV I, a Delaware-based private equity structure. The collaboration combines Apex’s global infrastructure with Slice’s operator-led expertise to tap into a rapidly expanding investment category.

Slice Sports, founded by Tricia Vanderslice, is launching with a dual-capital strategy focused on private equity funds and SPVs targeting assets across the global sports ecosystem. Vanderslice, an experienced operator and investor, brings more than 17 years of leadership in sports and alternative investments, including key roles driving Emmy-nominated growth at Ironman Triathlon, USA Swimming (Rio 2016 Olympics), and scaling a thematic ETF issuer from $500K to $4bn in assets under management.

Through Apex’s single-source model, Slice will gain access to consolidated services covering fund administration, investor relations, reporting, technology, and tokenisation. This integrated approach is designed to streamline operations and support the firm’s expansion.

“Global sports is transforming into an institutional-grade investment class, with explosive growth in women’s, youth, Name Image Likeness (NIL), and media-driven verticals,” said Vanderslice.

“We launched Slice Sports to capture this opportunity with purpose – to accelerate under-optimised sports assets, evolve women’s sports, and strengthen youth pathways.”

“Partnering with Apex Group gives us the global infrastructure and tokenisation technology to scale our dual-capital strategy, benefiting both LPs and the sports communities we serve.”

George Archibald, Chief Commercial Officer at Apex Group, added: “We are proud to partner with Slice Sports as they launch an innovative platform at the intersection of sports and private equity.

“Our digitally-enabled, comprehensive suite of services will provide Slice with robust and scalable infrastructure, supporting their mission to not only deliver growth in key asset classes, but also deliver value in this rapidly evolving sector.”
