With more than 14 years of experience in internal auditing, governance, and risk management, Al Akraf brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this pivotal role. Prior to her new role at du, Al Akraf had a distinguished career as the Director at the Financial Audit Authority in Dubai. In this capacity, she was instrumental in implementing key governance frameworks that have helped improve the financial and operational standards across multiple sectors in the region. Her leadership in driving these changes underscores her capability and deep understanding of corporate governance.

She also led the Financial Audit Authority’s team in the Dubai Government Excellence Program, making significant contributions to the development of governance frameworks that have had a lasting impact on the public sector.

In addition to her career accomplishments, Al Akraf holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She also earned a Master’s degree in International Business Law from The British University in Dubai. These credentials further strengthen her expertise and prepare her to oversee the company’s internal audit functions effectively.
