Suzanne Williams has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer of US-based private aviation firm Airshare. In her new role, Williams will oversee the company’s finance, legal, IT, and human resources departments. She has also joined the company’s Board of Directors.
Reacting to her new position, Williams said, “I’m proud to be joining another successful Kansas City-based company with a strong national brand and aggressive plans for future growth.” She added, “I believe my financial expertise and experience working with essential administrative disciplines are a perfect fit for this position. I look forward to complementing the great team we already have in place at Airshare.”
Williams brings decades of experience to the post, having most recently served for ten years as Chief Financial Officer at BarkleyOKRP. During her tenure, she led the transformation of the accounting division and helped the company achieve record-breaking top and bottom-line results.
She also played a central role in numerous acquisitions at BarkleyOKRP, managing everything from due diligence and financing to negotiations and post-deal integration. Prior to that, Williams spent over two decades in financial roles at Sprint.
Her appointment comes as Airshare continues to grow its national presence. Over the last two years, the company acquired the aircraft management division of Wheels Up and expanded the reach of its fractional ownership and jet card programmes across the United States. Kompass Kapital Company became the majority owner in the last year as well.
Welcoming the new COO, Airshare CEO John Owen said, “We are thrilled to hire someone as talented as Suzanne and anticipate her making an immediate impact in many areas of our business.” He added, “This is a vital role within our growth plans. Therefore, we spent considerable time making sure we found the right person. I’m confident she will be a tremendous asset for us.”
Airshare, based in Kansas, currently ranks as the eighth-largest charter and fractional operator in the US.
