Fashion designer and inventor Lorena “Lore” Eguigure has launched LoveLore, a women-owned activewear brand introducing leggings with a patented design aimed at addressing a practical challenge in women’s clothing.

The brand’s signature Adaptive Access System™ allows women to use the bathroom without having to pull down or remove their leggings. The design uses a self-closing fabric construction and operates without zippers, clips or Velcro, offering discreet access while maintaining the appearance and fit of conventional activewear.

The idea emerged from Eguigure’s personal experience as a snowboarder. Wearing multiple layers of clothing in cold-weather conditions made bathroom breaks inconvenient, prompting her to explore a more practical solution for women participating in outdoor activities.

After years of experimentation, prototyping and fabric testing, she developed the patented system that forms the foundation of LoveLore’s product range.

The collection includes Lore and Royal leggings, alongside coordinating sports bras, long-sleeved tops and other layering pieces. The garments are designed to combine stretch fabrics and supportive waistbands with the brand’s accessibility feature.

LoveLore’s products are intended for a range of activities and everyday situations, including travel, exercise, outdoor recreation and festivals. The design may also offer added convenience for women with mobility challenges or specific dressing needs.

Eguigure said her aim was to address an everyday frustration through thoughtful design while ensuring that women could continue to feel comfortable and confident in what they wear. She believes clothing should accommodate women’s lifestyles rather than require them to work around unnecessary limitations.

Founded by Eguigure, LoveLore officially opened in March 2023, with its Lore Leggings introduced publicly in October 2024. The company describes its approach through three principles: comfort, convenience and confidence.

The launch comes ahead of the holiday travel and gifting season, with the brand positioning its products as an option for women who value practical functionality alongside fashion.

Through LoveLore, Eguigure is bringing a problem-solving approach to activewear, demonstrating how personal experiences can inspire product innovation and create new possibilities in women’s fashion.
