The Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC) has opened a brand new business hub in Al Mamsha, Sharjah. The facility is designed to serve as a base for women entrepreneurs and business owners to network, hold professional meetings and attend specialised training workshops. Sheikha Hind bint Majid Al Qasimi, Chairperson of SBWC, unveiled the space during an open gathering alongside board members and local business figures.
During the launch event, the council introduced the members of its Advisory Council, namely Wafa Balaswad, Sheikha Alserkal, Maitha Alansari, Alya Taryam, Dr. Muna Al Dhabbah and Naeema AlZaabi. The organisation also used the meeting to launch its new interactive mentorship platform called Haseelah. This initiative connects business owners with local and international experts to provide practical guidance, exchange expertise and build sustainable networks.
“Many entrepreneurs and business owners have strong ideas, but the challenge is turning those ideas into sustainable businesses. This space is designed to help businesswomen connect, exchange experiences, and access practical knowledge to support clearer, more confident decision-making,” Sheikha Hind said. She added, “We believe collaboration plays an important role in helping women-led businesses grow. By creating a supportive professional environment, we aim to strengthen connections between entrepreneurs and support the wider presence of women-led businesses in the local economy.”
The launch programme included an interactive workshop titled Entrepreneurship Compass, led by Ms. Ghozlan Kanz Ghizlan Guenez. This session allowed participants to revisit their business models through group discussions and real-life scenarios to create initial development roadmaps.
Alongside the new property launch, the organisation highlighted its recent presence at the ninth edition of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF 2026). Operating within the Made in Sharjah zone, which is supported by SBWC, Bank of Sharjah and Alef, the council managed an interactive pavilion connecting founders with its support services. Maryam Bin Al Shaikh, Director of the SBWC, noted that their participation reflects a mission to enable women to lead, innovate and scale with confidence.
The festival pavilion showcased six specific council members to represent local innovation. These included disability inclusion consultancy Enabled, educational technology platform Bulbul, manufacturing costing platform The Fashion Incubator, marketing agency Illuminos, fragrance company By SHHK and food and beverage venture THS – The Hidden Spot.
