NAMA Women Advancement (NAMA) has announced that the 2026 edition of its NAMA Talks series will focus on women’s health and quality of life, with events planned across Sharjah throughout the year. The year-long programme will place wellbeing at the centre of discussions, reflecting what the organisation described as a strategic move to treat health as a practical enabler of long-term participation, stability and social contribution.

The initiative comes as women continue to balance expanding responsibilities across work, family and community life. NAMA said the theme is inspired by one of its main pillars of health and reflects a broader shift towards addressing wellbeing as a foundation for sustained engagement in society.

The 2026 programme will be delivered through six sessions staged at different locations across Sharjah. By widening the geographic spread of the talks, NAMA aims to make structured discussions and practical guidance more accessible to women across the Emirate and grounded in everyday realities.

Mariam Al Hammadi, Director General of NAMA, said: “Supporting women’s participation today goes beyond employment opportunities. It depends equally on women’s ability to manage competing responsibilities, safeguard their wellbeing, and make informed decisions that sustain their contribution across the multiple roles they hold. This is why NAMA Talks in 2026 focuses on quality of life as a pillar of family stability and social cohesion.”

She added: “When women have stronger awareness of quality of life, along with practical tools to manage time, energy, and pressure, they are better positioned to contribute meaningfully to development and to foster more balanced family and workplace environments. This approach aligns closely with the UAE’s broader vision and reflects the intent of the Year of the Family.”

According to NAMA, the sessions will cover a range of connected topics linked to women’s health. The format will combine practical guidance with open discussion spaces to allow participants to share experiences and insights. The organisation said the aim is to improve awareness of overall wellbeing and support women in achieving a sustainable balance across their different life roles.
