The Sultanate of Oman is gearing up to host one of the region’s most significant energy gatherings, the World Liquid Gas Association (WLGA) Middle East LPG Summit & Expo 2025, under the auspices of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP). Scheduled to take place from 10 to 11 November 2025 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC), the event is expected to attract over 2,000 participants and feature more than 80 international exhibitors.

Supported by the Oman Energy Association (OPAL), the two-day event will serve as a key platform for industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to engage in dialogue about the future of the global liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) sector. The WLGA, which represents more than 300 companies across 125 countries, is recognised as the authoritative global voice of the liquid gas industry, headquartered in Paris.

Experts and senior executives from the US, Europe, and the Middle East will share insights into emerging technologies, investment trends, and the role of LPG in the global energy transition. Major industry players including National Gas Company (NGC), Bharat Tanks Vessels LLP, and Ragasco are among the key sponsors of the 2025 edition, which is regarded as the largest LPG-focused event in the Middle East.

Discussions will focus on themes such as harmonising the LPG market across the region, driving growth through technology, unlocking investment potential, and strengthening trade and infrastructure.

“The GCC can be the global advocate in advancing LPG for a cleaner, more accessible energy future and the summit will provide a premier platform for collaboration, showcasing the latest innovations, challenges and opportunities in the LPG sector,” said James Rockall, Managing Director and CEO of the WLGA.

One of the headline announcements during the summit will be the launch of the Women in LPG (WINLPG) Oman Chapter, marking the initiative’s first presence in the Middle East. WINLPG is a global network comprising over 4,000 members across 15 national chapters, aimed at advancing women’s representation across all segments of the LPG industry.

Organisers described the launch as a major step for diversity and gender inclusion within Oman’s energy sector, highlighting the growing recognition of women’s leadership in energy-related industries.

“The Middle East has become a pivotal hub for the LPG sector, with rising demand, export capacity and investment flows transforming the region into a driver of global LPG innovation and trade,” said Rockall. “By bringing together global leaders, innovators and policymakers in Muscat, this Summit will showcase how technology, inclusivity and collaboration can drive lasting growth for the industry and not just in the region, but worldwide.”

In addition to keynote sessions and panel discussions, the event will include specialised workshops led by WLGA experts. These sessions will provide attendees with practical insights into new market developments, sustainability initiatives, and operational strategies within the LPG value chain.

Delegates will also benefit from exclusive networking opportunities at the OCEC, enabling participants to exchange ideas, build relationships, and establish new business partnerships in a collaborative environment.

The 2025 WLGA Middle East LPG Summit & Expo aims to position Oman as a strategic centre for global LPG dialogue, reinforcing the country’s growing influence in the clean energy sector and its role in shaping the industry’s sustainable future.
