Hyve acquires US-based Behavioural Health Tech to expand healthcare portfolio

Global events company Hyve has announced its acquisition of Behavioral Health Tech (BHT), a leading U.S. platform focused on innovation in mental and behavioral health. The move marks Hyve’s fourth acquisition in the past year and deepens its investment in the healthcare sector while advancing its broader three-year growth and optimization plan, known as GO27.

The acquisition of BHT brings Hyve into the specialist behavioral health space, a growing and urgent segment of global healthcare. Founded in 2020 by mental health advocate and entrepreneur Solome Tibebu, BHT quickly became a central hub for collaboration between payors, providers, digital health companies, policy leaders, and investors. The event has evolved from its virtual origins during the COVID-19 pandemic into a full-scale, in-person conference that attracted more than 2,000 delegates in 2024. Attendance is expected to increase by 25% for its upcoming 2025 edition in San Diego, California.

Expanding Hyve’s Healthcare Portfolio

Behavioral Health Tech joins Hyve’s growing healthcare events portfolio, which includes HLTH US, HLTH Europe, and ViVE. The addition strengthens Hyve’s position in the U.S. healthcare market and aligns with its GO27 strategy, which aims to transform the company into a leader in high-impact, industry-defining events across key sectors.

BHT’s platform has become a trusted forum for major corporations and healthcare innovators. Attendees and partners have included Microsoft, Salesforce, McDonald’s, BetterHelp, Headspace, multiple Blue Cross Blue Shield affiliates, Grow Therapy, and WeightWatchers. The event is also known for its high-profile speakers, including Paris Hilton in 2024, and upcoming appearances by leaders such as Amazon’s Director of Health Benefits.

Looking Ahead: Growth and Global Expansion

Hyve plans to expand BHT’s reach using its proven hosted meeting model, set to launch for the event in 2026, and is also exploring opportunities to take the brand global. These next steps align with Hyve’s successful “geo-cloning” strategy, which replicates flagship events in new markets.

The next Behavioral Health Tech conference is scheduled to take place November 11–13, 2025, in San Diego, California.

With this latest acquisition, Hyve continues to build a robust platform at the intersection of healthcare, innovation, and community, positioning itself as a key player in addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing the global health ecosystem.
