The upcoming Women in Aviation Middle East conference, a pioneering event celebrating the increasing role of women in the aviation sector, will take center stage at the seventh edition of Air Expo Abu Dhabi. Set to take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from November 19th to 21st, the conference will spotlight critical advancements in air mobility while honoring the achievements of women who are shaping the future of aviation.

Mervat Sultan, the President of the Women in Aviation Middle East Chapter, highlighted the importance of this groundbreaking conference. “The conference is featured at Air Expo Abu Dhabi 2024 to highlight the increasing role women are playing in the industry and to promote gender diversity and inclusion. The event will serve as a significant platform for women in aviation to showcase their achievements, share knowledge, and network with industry leaders. As the Middle East transforms air mobility driven by rapid technological advancements, it is crucial to ensure that women are not only part of the conversation but are also recognized for their contributions. At the Women in Aviation Middle East Chapter, we have been at the forefront of these efforts, advocating for more female representation in various sectors of aviation, from piloting to leadership roles in aerospace technology,” she said.

The conference promises to be an essential gathering, featuring a diverse range of sessions aimed at exploring the latest trends and breakthroughs in the aviation industry. One of the key highlights will be a panel discussion titled Innovations in Air Mobility, which will delve into the technological advancements revolutionizing aviation. Another important session, Challenges and Opportunities for Women in Aviation and Air Mobility, will address the specific obstacles faced by women in aviation. This session seeks to provide insight into how the industry can become more inclusive and supportive of female professionals.

Additionally, the conference will feature a fireside chat on Leadership in Aviation: Paving the Way for Future Generations.
