Qatar has taken a significant step forward in healthcare by integrating cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) technology into its national breast cancer screening programme. The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has incorporated Lunit’s AI-powered INSIGHT MMG solution into its “Screen for Life” initiative, aimed at early detection and enhanced survival rates for breast cancer.

Lunit INSIGHT MMG is designed to improve the accuracy of breast cancer diagnoses, reducing the number of missed cases and thereby increasing the chances of successful treatment. This advanced AI-driven technology is set to revolutionize Qatar’s triennial breast cancer screening efforts.

This initiative marks Qatar as the pioneering nation in the Middle East to adopt AI for breast cancer screening on a national scale. The partnership with Lunit is planned for an initial period of five years, with the primary aim of bolstering early detection capabilities and minimizing missed diagnoses.

By embracing this innovative technology, Qatar is not only enhancing its healthcare services but also setting a new standard for cancer screening in the region.
