Edelman has named Lisa Sepulveda as its inaugural Global Chief People and Culture Officer, marking a significant milestone in the company’s leadership structure.

Sepulveda, previously serving as the Global Chief Client Officer, steps into this new role with a wealth of experience garnered over her impressive 30-year tenure at Edelman. Her responsibilities encompass global talent development, recruitment, retention, and ensuring the alignment of employee and client needs across Edelman’s 65 offices worldwide.

In her capacity as the Global Chief People and Culture Officer, Sepulveda will report directly to Matthew Harrington, Edelman’s Global President and COO. Her overarching goal is to foster a vibrant and inclusive culture that empowers employees while enhancing client satisfaction.

Despite her new responsibilities, Sepulveda will continue to serve as a senior advisor to global clients. Taking on additional responsibilities in managing the global client portfolio are Smita Reddy, Global Sector and Client Lead, and Courtney McCraw Bigelow, Managing Director and Global Client Leader.

Sepulveda’s illustrious career at Edelman has seen her spearheading some of the company’s most impactful campaigns, including the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty, the eBay/PayPal split, and Kellogg’s “Open for Breakfast.” Her diverse portfolio of clients includes eBay, Johnson & Johnson, Mars, PayPal, Shire, Starbucks, and Unilever.

Beyond her professional achievements, Sepulveda is renowned for her mentorship prowess, having played a pivotal role in launching and nurturing numerous careers within Edelman and beyond. Her return to Edelman follows leadership positions at Euro RSCG Worldwide PR and a stint as President of Global Consumer Marketing at Weber Shandwick.
