Indian Logistics firm Delhivery announced on Friday its conversion of the Moga facility into an all-women unit in celebration of International Women’s Day. The company further disclosed its intentions to replicate such women-centric facilities in other regions across India, including Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, according to a statement released by Delhivery.

“To mark International Women’s Day, Delhivery, India’s largest integrated logistics service provider, has transformed its Moga facility into an all-woman-run hub, challenging the gender stereotypes in the logistics industry and underscoring the company’s inclusive values,” it said.

The Moga facility, situated in Punjab, India will now be entirely managed by female staff, overseeing all facets of operations from utilizing battery-operated pallet trucks to handling inventory management and loading and unloading trucks, the company noted. Additionally, Delhivery has appointed an exclusively female housekeeping and security team to provide round-the-clock support to the facility.

Based in Gurugram, Delhivery stands as a premier integrated logistics services provider, serving approximately 19,000 pin codes across the country.
