ZainTECH, the digital solutions arm of Zain Group, has announced a new collaboration with Zain Kuwait and Zain Omantel International (ZOI) to launch Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute on the Azure Marketplace. The move marks the first-ever partnership of its kind among Zain entities, aiming to advance Kuwait’s government and enterprise cloud capabilities.

The new listing will allow public sector and corporate clients in Kuwait to access secure, private, and compliant connections to Microsoft Azure directly via the Azure Marketplace. This simplifies access to global cloud infrastructure while meeting national data regulations and security standards.

Customers with existing Azure agreements will now be able to purchase ExpressRoute using their current Microsoft Azure consumption credits, making procurement more straightforward and significantly reducing deployment timelines.

Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute provides a dedicated, low-latency connection to Microsoft data centres in the UAE and Europe. This infrastructure is designed to handle mission-critical workloads that demand high performance, strong security, and strict data residency compliance.

Andrew Hanna, CEO of ZainTECH, said: “Helping governments and enterprises become more digital, intelligent and resilient is what all Zain entities aim for. The availability of ExpressRoute on the Azure Marketplace is a game-changer for customers in Kuwait.”

“It removes friction from the procurement process and makes it easier than ever for entities to leverage Microsoft’s cloud, using their existing agreements and credits. This is how we accelerate real transformation: by combining secure, high-speed connectivity with operational simplicity,” he added.

According to ZainTECH, this collaboration sets a new benchmark for cloud connectivity in Kuwait, offering a solution that is fast, compliant, resilient, and easy to integrate. The initiative also aligns with Kuwait’s Vision 2035, supporting national digital transformation goals and enabling next-generation cloud-enabled government and enterprise services.

ZainTECH stated that the partnership reflects its ongoing commitment to delivering advanced infrastructure capabilities that enhance digital resilience and modernisation across the region.
