Wipro Ltd has announced the appointment of Anne-Marie Rowland as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Capco, as per a filing submitted to the stock exchanges. Currently serving as the managing partner of Capco’s operations in the United Kingdom and Ireland, Rowland will assume the role of Capco’s CEO effective April 1, 2024.

Wipro had acquired Capco in 2021, and Rowland has been an integral part of Capco’s journey, serving as the managing partner for its UK and Ireland business and as a member of Capco’s Global Leadership Team.

In her new role, Rowland will report to Wipro’s CEO and Managing Director, Thierry Delaporte, and will join Wipro’s Executive Committee (WEC). Meanwhile, Lance Levy, who has led Capco as CEO for nearly a decade, will transition into a strategic advisory role to continue supporting Capco’s direction and Wipro’s consulting strategy.

Thierry Delaporte acknowledged Levy’s significant contributions to Capco’s growth and positioning as a leading transformation consultancy during his tenure. Delaporte emphasized Capco’s importance as a growth pillar for Wipro.

Rowland brings with her 14 years of experience at Capco, specializing in business change management, innovation, and transformation. She has held various leadership positions within Capco, including global head of consulting and transformation practice, global client partner for major financial institutions, and executive sponsor of Women@Capco.

The acquisition of Capco in 2021 marked a significant milestone for Wipro, adding to its capabilities in the financial services sector. Capco, with over 25 years of experience, has evolved into the world’s largest independent financial services management consultancy, providing invaluable expertise to its clients.
