BerryDunn, a leading accounting, tax, and consulting firm, has announced that Tammy Brunetti will take on the role of Chief Strategy and Growth Officer for its Assurance, Tax, and Advisory Services. The appointment sees Brunetti join the Executive Leadership Team, succeeding long-time Principal Renee Bishop, who is preparing for retirement.

Brunetti has been with BerryDunn for three decades, dedicating much of her career to supporting healthcare organisations in navigating complex regulatory and operational landscapes. Until recently, she led the firm’s Healthcare Practice Group, bringing with her a wealth of leadership experience alongside a deep foundation in audit, accounting, and advisory services.

“I am energized by the opportunity to drive strategic innovation that delivers real value for our clients,” Brunetti commented. 8“BerryDunn stands out for its dedication to quality, collaboration, and people, and I am committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the team.”

Reflecting on the changing dynamics of the industry, she added, “Our entrepreneurial, client-focused approach allows us to adapt quickly and position ourselves to best support clients with evolving needs, technological advancements, and workforce challenges.”

Brunetti takes over from Renee Bishop, who has played a significant role in shaping BerryDunn’s strategic direction over the years. Bishop first joined the firm in 1993 and held various leadership roles, including leading the Healthcare and Not-for-Profit Practice Group and serving as a member of the Board. Her contributions have been widely credited with strengthening the firm’s relationships with clients, employees, and the broader community.

“Renee shared her passion for the accounting profession with the firm and brought an unmatched level of professionalism and depth of expertise to the Assurance, Tax, and Advisory Team,” said BerryDunn CEO Sarah Belliveau. “I’m deeply appreciative of Renee and our talented Executive Leadership Team. With Tammy stepping in as Chief Strategy and Growth Officer, I’m confident we will see continued steady growth and innovation in the years ahead.”

In addition to the leadership transition, BerryDunn also revealed updates to its Board of Directors. Kathy Parker has been named as the new Board Chair, with Seth Webber taking on the role of Secretary, Dave Erb as Treasurer, and Kate Lawrence as Assistant Secretary.

The firm also acknowledged the contributions of retiring board members Tammy Michaud, former Board Chair, and Charlie Leadbetter, both recognised for completing two terms of dedicated service.
