Sharjah Taxi has announced that an impressive 83% of its fleet now comprises hybrid and eco-friendly vehicles. These vehicles, which operate on a combination of fuel and electricity, are part of Sharjah Taxi’s ambitious plan to achieve a fully eco-conscious fleet by 2027. This initiative reflects the UAE’s broader commitment to adopting clean energy solutions and building smart, environmentally friendly transport networks that significantly curb carbon emissions.

Khalid Al-Kindi, General Manager of Sharjah Taxi, emphasized the company’s dedication to sustainable development: “Driven by our commitment to achieving sustainable development, we at Sharjah Taxi continuously work on developing and updating our fleet. This effort supports sustainable transportation solutions and provides eco-friendly alternatives, including electric and hybrid vehicles. These initiatives support Sharjah’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions and benefit society, the economy, and the environment while aligning with the wise leadership’s goals and vision of establishing smart, sustainable, and more livable cities for the future.”
