Republic Bank Appoints Ms. Sena Dake as Independent Non-Executive Director

Republic Bank (Ghana) has appointed Ms. Sena Dake as an Independent Non-Executive Director of its Board, effective 20 August 2025.

Ms. Dake brings over two decades of experience in finance, governance, and sustainability, spanning both private and public sector institutions. She holds multiple professional qualifications, including Chartered Accountant, Certified ESG Professional through the Institute of Chartered Accountants, England and Wales (ICAEW), Lawyer, and Fellow of the Institute of Directors, Ghana (IoD). She is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana (CITG).

Her career highlights include serving as the Immediate Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), and her current role as Director of Finance and Administration at the Gaming Commission of Ghana. Ms. Dake has also contributed to the Pan-African Federation of Accountants (PAFA), serving as Chairman of its Audit and Risk Committee and as a Board Member.

Throughout her career, Ms. Dake has actively championed capacity-building programmes for directors, accountants, and young professionals, promoting ethics, governance, and sustainability in business practice.

Commenting on her appointment, Mr. Jonathan Prince Cann, Chairman of the Board of Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ms. Sena Dake to our Board. Her extensive knowledge, particularly of accounting and corporate governance, combined with her broad leadership experience, will enhance the Bank’s decision-making process and further reinforce our commitment to delivering value to our stakeholders.”

The Board of Directors extended its best wishes to Ms. Dake, noting that her technical expertise, governance acumen, and leadership experience at national and continental levels will strengthen the strategic oversight of Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC.
