The Qatari Businesswomen Association (QBWA) has entered into a strategic partnership with the European Women’s Association (EWA) following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This collaboration is set to strengthen the organisations’ shared goal of empowering women in the global business arena, with a focus on enhancing cooperation and knowledge exchange.

Through this agreement, both associations will work together to promote the role of women in economic development and entrepreneurship. The partnership will see joint events such as business forums, educational programs, mentoring initiatives, and networking events to support women’s leadership across various industries.

Speaking on the partnership, Aisha Al Fardan, Vice Chairwoman of QBWA, expressed her excitement, noting the importance of building a global network that helps women succeed in today’s competitive business world. “This collaboration with the European Women’s Association represents a significant step in our efforts to create a global network that supports women’s leadership in business. Together, we are dedicated to providing women with the resources, connections, and opportunities they need to succeed in today’s competitive business landscape,” Al Fardan said.

Meanwhile, EWA President Yulia Stark highlighted the potential of this partnership to boost female entrepreneurship and professional development in both Europe and the Middle East. “We are excited to join forces with the Qatari Businesswomen Association to further our mutual goals of elevating women entrepreneurs across Europe and the Middle East. By uniting our strengths, we are confident that we can make a substantial impact on the global business community,” Stark remarked.

QBWA, a non-profit organisation established in 2002 under the Amiri Decree, has been at the forefront of empowering women in Qatar’s economy. The association continues to foster growth through partnerships with local and international bodies, in line with Qatar’s vision for economic progress.

EWA, on the other hand, is dedicated to fostering women’s economic empowerment across various sectors by creating an inclusive ecosystem for female entrepreneurs. The organisation works closely with governments, corporations, and investors to drive initiatives that promote gender equality and support women’s advancement in business.
