In a demonstration of its ongoing dedication to in-person fitness experiences, Pvolve, the functional exercise approach that started as a virtual workout platform before branching out to real places, has announced the signing of leases for ten new studios across seven major U.S. markets.
To keep up with the increasing demand for its clinically proven training program, the fitness business is strategically opening new sites in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Tennessee, and Texas. It combines functional movement with patented resistance equipment.
Pvolve first became well-known on its web platform, but it is currently growing its physical presence. The company provides targeted series via web and mobile apps, a two-way live virtual studio, and more than 1,300 on-demand classes as part of its streaming membership.
After acquiring notoriety through a high-profile collaboration with Jennifer Aniston, who joined the Pvolve team in June 2023 after initially learning about the method as a member in 2021, this hybrid approach has shown great effectiveness.
“I had a friend who had already been doing Pvolve and not only did I notice her complete transformation – physically in her energy level – but she also explained that Pvolve is functional fitness that respects where your body is at and allows you to work around your current limitations,” explained Aniston when the partnership was announced.
The actress began her Pvolve journey during her recovery from a back injury, sharing that she “fell in love with the program and how it makes you work hard and delivers results…It’s completely different from anything I’d tried before and that’s what made me want to get involved with the company.”
Rachel Katzman, Founder of Pvolve, expressed her excitement about Aniston’s involvement: “I was blown away when I found out that Jennifer Aniston was a secret streamer and doing the workouts at home. The fact that someone so advanced in her fitness journey and with access to a world of options, fell in love with the Pvolve Method after experiencing its benefits, is a dream come true. I’m so excited to see what we do together.”
“Pvolve’s studio growth continues to build momentum, and we’re thrilled to bring our clinically-backed functional fitness method to more communities across the country,” said Julie Cartwright, President of Pvolve. “These new locations will give members the opportunity to experience this transformational workout and experience this transformational workout and Pvolve’s community in real life. We’re excited to work alongside this group of passionate franchise owners who share our mission to help individuals build strong, mobile, and stable bodies for life.”
The 10 newly announced Pvolve studio locations are across several states, including Potomac, MD; Murfreesboro, TN; Atlanta, GA (Krog Street); Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Houston, TX (with studios in both the Memorial and Galleria areas); Cypress, TX; Austin, TX (in the Bee Cave and Westlake areas); and Gilbert, AZ. The growth of Pvolve coincides with increased awareness of the company’s science-based approach to exercise, especially for women. Initial results from the Healthy Ageing Study, which was carried out in collaboration with the University of Exeter and looked at the effects of Pvolve’s low-impact, resistance-based workouts on women 40 years of age and older, were published by the firm in January 2024.
Participants who used the Pvolve Method showed notable gains in the clinical study, including a 21% increase in full-body flexibility and a 19% increase in hip and lower body strength. Lower blood lipids, more lean muscle without a rise in total body mass, and enhancements in hip function, balance, mobility, and stability were among the other advantages.
Dr. Nima Alamdari, Pvolve Clinical Advisory Board Member, Harvard-trained Physiologist, and Honorary Professor of Sport and Health Sciences at the University of Exeter, emphasized the importance of these findings, “Age-related loss of muscle mass and strength is particularly important to counteract by women over forty because muscle mass and strength of women in their thirties already trends lower.” She also added, “The Healthy Aging Study is a first-of-its-kind, underscoring the efficacy of lower impact, functional fitness on women’s health outcomes, not only protecting and improving physical strength but enhancing women’s quality of life and wellbeing.”
Dr. Jessica Shepherd, a board-certified OB/GYN and longevity specialist, was recently added to the brand’s Clinical Advisory Board, further solidifying its clinical base.
