Orange Middle East and Africa (OMEA) has released its 2024 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report, titled “Cultivating Impact”, outlining its strategic priorities for inclusive growth and sustainable development across the 17 countries where the company operates.

Arriving at a critical time for the region, the report highlights how digital, financial, energy, and economic transitions are reshaping societies across Africa and the Middle East. Central to Orange’s approach is the concept of people-first digital innovation, supported by accessible and resilient infrastructure, as well as environmental responsibility through circular economy practices such as recycling and refurbishing network and mobile devices.

Flagship services like Max it,  OMEA’s all-in-one super-app, are presented as key enablers of digital inclusion. Other services such as Orange Money and Orange Bank Africa are designed to promote financial inclusion, while Orange Energies contributes to expanding access to sustainable power sources.

The report also places emphasis on tailoring solutions to local needs, with Orange positioning itself as a vital partner in regional transformation. The company’s development strategy, according to the report, combines business performance with a firm social commitment across all its markets.

OMEA’s workforce of 18,000 plays a major part in implementing this vision, particularly through the #OrangeEngageforChange initiative, which brings employees together to lead projects with meaningful social outcomes. Through Orange Digital Centers, the company has already trained and supported 1.2 million people, offering free access to digital skills training and entrepreneurship support aimed at youth, women, and startups.

OMEA’s wider CSR contributions also extend to health, culture, environmental stewardship, and building community resilience.

Yasser Shaker, CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa, said: “Cultivating impact means anchoring our mission in people’s daily lives by turning our commitments into meaningful, lasting actions. In 2025 we will continue, together, to accelerate this positive transformation to build a fairer, more inclusive, and more resilient future.”

Asma Ennaifer, Executive Director of CSR, Orange Digital Center and Communications at OMEA, added: “Our responsibility is to act in a way that is concrete, measurable, and aligned with local challenges. Every action we take only matters if it brings tangible progress for women, youth, entrepreneurs, and the communities we serve.”
