My Code has appointed Amani Duncan as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant leadership change at the media company and marketing agency known for helping brands engage with the fastest-growing and most culturally influential consumer groups in the United States.

Duncan, who has built a wide-ranging career across media, entertainment and brand strategy, steps into the role as My Code’s operations and influence continue to expand. She will now oversee the agency’s work with major brands seeking to connect with growth audiences through its Intelligence Center, in-house creative capabilities and extensive publisher network.

Her appointment follows a year of momentum for My Code, which has been delivering measurable performance for a range of Fortune 500 clients. In 2025, the company received industry recognition across several major award platforms, including the ANA Multicultural & Inclusive Marketing Awards, the Brandie Awards, and Adweek’s Team Visionary Award for its owned property Remezcla.

“Amani has built her career on seeing culture from the inside out,” said Alexander Jutkowitz, Executive Chairman of My Code. “She understands that brands can’t sit on the sidelines — her instinct for where audiences are headed, paired with her precision in execution, makes her uniquely equipped to help brands move in real-time.”

My Code’s model is structured around its “Decode, Develop, Direct” approach, an integrated framework that unites the company’s cultural insights function, its creative studio and agency teams, and its media distribution capabilities. Through this system, the company works to identify cultural shifts, translate them into authentic storytelling, and distribute content across its ecosystem of owned properties including Remezcla Media Group, HipLATINA, La Opinión, and El Diario, as well as through wider publisher partnerships.

Before joining My Code, Duncan served as a strategic advisor to independent creative agencies. She also currently sits on the board of Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) and is an Advisory Board member for Advertising Week New York.

Her previous leadership role as CEO of BBH USA, part of Publicis Groupe, saw her work with prominent brands including Google, Netflix, Heineken U.S., Mattel and Walmart. During her tenure, BBH USA earned a place on the Ad Age A-List as a Stand Out Agency. Duncan herself received multiple industry accolades, including Ad Age’s 2022 Agency Executive of the Year, Adweek Women Trailblazer, Campaign’s Female Frontier, and Advertising Week’s Future is Female.

Duncan’s career has also included senior positions at major entertainment and media companies such as MTV/Viacom, C.F. Martin Guitar, Virgin Records, Capitol Music Group/EMI and Def Jam Records. She has been a prominent industry voice, serving as Jury President at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity and Dubai Lynx, and as a board member of the Girl Scouts of Greater New York.

“The rules of culture are rewritten every day, and brands need trusted advisors to navigate that complexity,” Duncan said. “With a decade of expertise guiding Fortune 500 brands through the ever-changing cultural landscape, My Code delivers what matters most: access to a rapidly growing community that drives measurable business growth. I’m excited to help accelerate that impact for our clients.”

Les Brun, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Ariel Alternatives, which holds a majority stake in My Code, commented on the significance of Duncan’s arrival. “Amani’s appointment represents a significant milestone in My Code’s evolution. We believe her ability to translate cultural insights into commercial success and creative strategy into measurable business outcomes makes her the best person to scale this platform and its category leadership.”

Duncan’s leadership is expected to guide the next phase of My Code’s expansion as it strengthens its position within the U.S. media and marketing landscape.
