Minimalist beauty brand Merit has announced a new collaboration with American luxury fashion house Brandon Maxwell, unveiling a limited-edition collection that will be released on 2 October.

The partnership sees Merit’s popular Signature Bag reimagined for the Autumn/Winter 2025 season. The updated design features black pebbled vegan leather and a distinctive silver metal knot detail inspired by Brandon Maxwell’s signature hardware.

The limited edition bags are not planned to be sold separately, and will be available only when supplies last. The luxe version of this bag is free with all orders of $125 or more

A modern update to MERIT’s beloved auburn corduroy washable Signature Bag, the Maxwell design is made to be worn around the wrist and features an easy-to-use magnetic closure.

As part of the launch, the brands are also introducing an exclusive new shade of Merit’s Lip Blush. The limited-edition hue, Maxwell, is a soft cinnamon brown that delivers a diffused matte finish and will be packaged in exclusive silver casing.

The collaboration coincides with Brandon Maxwell’s tenth anniversary and builds on the ongoing partnership between the two companies. Merit has previously provided make-up for the fashion label’s Spring/Summer 2025 and Spring/Summer 2026 runway shows.

Earlier iterations of the Signature Bag have included partnerships with womenswear and accessories brand Proenza Schouler and fashion house Tove.
