Mango launches e-commerce in additional countries, concentrating on Africa and Asia

Mango, a Spanish fashion firm is focusing on improving its online trading and international market reach. The company said that it is expanding its internet sales pace by opening the company in 12 new countries, mainly in Africa and Asia. Mango has now started the outlet of its retail business online in Angola, Belize, Brunei, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Honduras, and Laos. The countries that now have mango outlets for online retail businesses include Mongolia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Togo.

After  Mango started its e-commerce business in the year 2000, it now has its stores and outlets in more than 120 countries. The clothier, offering men’s, women’s, teen and youth apparels mentioned that its internet sales played critical role in its growth in 2023 with the company generating above €1billion from this channel alone which contributed 33% to the overall group revenue.

Elena Carasso, Mango’s online and customer director said, “Mango’s entry into 12 new countries reinforces its international presence and brings our value proposition and passion for fashion to new markets.Since the creation of our online channel, our aim has always been to reach the whole world in order to be closer to our customers. Today, almost 25 years after our e-commerce launch, we are present in more than 120 markets worldwide, with an online selling channel available in 25 languages.”

Mango announced that Marlies Hersbach will join the company as an e-commerce executive director. Hersbach will also be in charge of establishing, managing, and implementing all the online business activities of the firm for Carasso. Hersbach has been working at Mango as the international retail director for France and was in charge of store strategy at the French market. Yann Bayon is now promoted from the regional retail position to an international retail position as the International Retail Director for France.
