Chantal Gaemperle, LVMH’s long-serving Human Resources and Synergies chief, is leaving the luxury giant after 17 years. The Swiss executive, who also sat on the group’s executive committee, joined LVMH in 2007 from Nestlé, where she had a background in the food and beverage industry.
In a statement released on Wednesday, LVMH confirmed Gaemperle’s departure, saying she is leaving to “pursue new projects.” The luxury conglomerate has yet to announce her successor for the HR division.
Her exit is part of a broader reshuffling within LVMH’s senior ranks. Recently, several high-profile figures have stepped down or moved on from the group. This autumn, Chris Delapuente, the head of selective retailing, and Philippe Schaus, the boss of wine and spirits, also left the company. Earlier in the year, Toni Belloni, the deputy CEO, retired. In another shake-up, former LVMH fashion group CEO Sidney Toledano returned from retirement just months after Michael Burke, former CEO of Louis Vuitton, was appointed head of the fashion division.
Gaemperle’s departure marks another significant change at the top of LVMH, a group that has seen considerable turnover in recent months.
