LSH Auto hosts inclusive Women’s Networking Event across Retail, Hospitality, and Logistics

LSH Auto recently played host to the inaugural event in a series of networking gatherings organized by the Women of the Year Awards. Held at LSH Auto’s flagship site on Brighton Road, Stockport, the event brought together over 70 delegates, aiming to empower and connect women across various industries.

The event featured esteemed guest speakers such as Mex Ibrahim, co-founder of Women in the Food Industry, and Sue Bancroft, HR Director with over 23 years of experience in logistics. Nicola Gleave, founder of Worn By Us, a fashion resale business, also shared insights. Dr. Sally Penni MBE, a renowned barrister, chaired the panel discussion.

Reflecting on the event, Mex Ibrahim praised the camaraderie and energy of the attendees, emphasizing the common challenges faced by women in different industries. Topics ranged from equality and diversity to navigating business challenges amidst the backdrop of Covid and Brexit.

The Women of the Year Awards, now in its 42nd year, recognize outstanding female role models across various sectors. Nominations for the awards are currently open, with the winners set to be announced at Manchester’s Etihad on October 11th.

Emma Elston MBE, Director of the Women of the Year Awards, expressed gratitude to LSH Auto for their support in hosting the event. She commended the exceptional team at LSH Auto for their assistance and accommodation, making the event a success.

Tracy Ellam, Operations Director for LSH Auto, echoed the sentiment, expressing pride in sponsoring the Women of the Year awards. She highlighted the importance of providing a platform for women to discuss pertinent issues affecting their respective industries.

LSH Auto’s commitment to supporting women in business extends beyond this event, as they are set to host another networking event for businesswomen from the Midlands at their Birmingham dealership in June.
