Marking a significant milestone in its journey, Akasa Air has initiated its international flights, linking Mumbai to Doha, the vibrant capital of Qatar. With four weekly non-stop flights, the airline inaugurated its first journey on Thursday, departing from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and landing at Hamad International Airport in Doha. This move aims to fortify the trade and tourism ties between India and Qatar while streamlining connectivity.

The inaugural flight witnessed a special moment as the first passenger received an exclusive boarding pass, followed by a ceremonial ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the all-female crew.

Expanding its global footprint, Akasa Air has secured traffic rights for three other international destinations: Riyadh, Kuwait, and Jeddah. This expansion signals the airline’s commitment to bolstering its international presence in the forthcoming months.

Travellers heading to Doha from various Indian cities like Delhi, Kochi, Lucknow, Goa, Varanasi, and Ahmedabad can leverage seamless connecting flights via Mumbai, enhancing travel convenience.

For those eyeing a trip to Doha, Akasa Air has introduced enticing holiday packages in collaboration with Akasa Holidays, offering attractive and budget-friendly deals.

Despite ongoing concerns regarding Boeing’s production timeline, Akasa Air remains upbeat about the timely delivery of its Boeing 737 MAX jets. Earlier in January, the airline made headlines with its order of 150 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, equipped with CFM fuel-efficient and LEAP-1B engines, underscoring its ambitious strategy to broaden its global footprint
