Hi Fly has reported significant progress in its gender diversity efforts, achieving and exceeding targets set under the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) 25by2025 initiative. The airline has reached 31% female representation in senior leadership roles and 43% across its entire workforce, well ahead of the voluntary goals established by the global aviation initiative.

The 25by2025 campaign, launched by IATA, encourages airlines to increase the presence of women in senior roles and within governance bodies by the year 2025. Since signing on to the initiative during the Wings of Change Europe event in 2019, Hi Fly has steadily implemented inclusive recruitment practices and long-term strategies aimed at ensuring equal professional growth opportunities.

Over a six-year period, the company has seen a consistent rise in the number of women holding leadership positions, from 23% in 2019 to the current 31% in 2025. Hi Fly credits this steady growth to internal policies that emphasize transparency, fair career progression, and a supportive working environment.

The airline’s overall workforce now comprises 43% women, a figure that reflects broader changes within the organization beyond leadership alone. With these latest numbers, Hi Fly is not only meeting its public diversity reporting commitments but also setting a higher benchmark for representation across the aviation sector.

Antonios Efthymiou, chief executive of Hi Fly, said: “These results reflect our ongoing belief that diversity strengthens both performance and workplace culture. Reaching 43% female representation across our workforce is not just a number – it’s a sign of steady, inclusive progress. We’re proud of how far we’ve come and remain committed to pushing further toward true gender balance at every level of our organisation. Our commitment to diversity is not only about improving our culture, but also about ensuring that our workforce mirrors the world we serve.”

With the original 2025 goals now surpassed, Hi Fly aims to maintain this momentum by continuing to evolve its approach to diversity and inclusion, ensuring these values remain central to its operations in the years ahead.
