First Lady Oluremi Tinubu reaffirms commitment to women’s empowerment

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has restated her commitment to empowering women across the country. During a visit from the Department of State Security (DSS) delegation, led by Deputy Director-General Mrs. Afolashade Adekayaoja, Senator Tinubu underlined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s strong commitment to involving women in leadership positions.

The First Lady expressed her gratitude for the visit, highlighting the administration’s focus on empowering women and ensuring their active participation in decision-making processes. She stressed the importance of recognizing and rewarding hardworking women, noting that women in leadership roles serve as representatives for others nationwide.

Senator Tinubu hopes that women in leadership will support each other, collaborate, and diligently fulfill their responsibilities to drive national progress. Mrs. Adekayaoja praised President Tinubu and the First Lady for their efforts in advancing women’s causes and placing women in key leadership positions.

The DSS Deputy Director-General expressed her appreciation for the First Lady’s advocacy for gender equality and support for the DSS. She reaffirmed the DSS’s commitment to protecting Nigerian citizens and ensuring a secure environment for the nation’s growth and peaceful governance.
