Bybit, one of the world’s top cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced its partnership with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC). After a year of working together, Bybit is moving from a key ecosystem partner to an advisory role, strengthening its influence in Dubai’s rapidly growing crypto and Web3 sector.

This partnership marks a new chapter for both Bybit and DMCC, as they double down on their commitment to nurturing the region’s crypto ecosystem. From August 2024 to July 2025, Bybit will serve as the DMCC Ecosystem and Advisory Partner, offering strategic advice to the DMCC Crypto Centre and its members on important initiatives.

As part of efforts to further establish Dubai as a global leader in cryptocurrency, Bybit and the DMCC Crypto Centre are set to co-host two major industry events this year. The first is a global hackathon, aimed at encouraging developers to create new Web3 projects. The second is a flagship conference that will bring together industry experts and key opinion leaders, positioning Dubai as a centre of thought leadership.

The past year has already seen notable achievements from this partnership. These include a $100,000 prize pool hackathon to support blockchain startups, a Masterclass for budding entrepreneurs, and the “Let Web3 Happen in Dubai” event, which focused on security and compliance. Bybit also played a significant role in a high-profile side event at Token 2049, helping more than 20 startups to establish themselves in Dubai’s vibrant crypto scene.

In taking on this new advisory role, Bybit is set to leverage its deep industry knowledge to shape the future of Dubai’s crypto and Web3 industry. This collaboration underscores Bybit’s ongoing commitment to supporting Dubai’s ambition of becoming a global hub for cryptocurrency and Web3 innovation.

“We’re honoured to be the first organisation appointed to this advisory role by DMCC,” said Helen Liu, Chief Operating Officer at Bybit. “By taking on an advisory role, we are excited to leverage our expertise to drive innovation and support the growth of the industry in Dubai.”

Belal Jassoma, Director of Ecosystems at DMCC, added: “Bybit have been true partners over the past year, bringing substantial value to Dubai’s crypto and Web3 community. We are thrilled to expand this through Bybit’s advisory role, which will support our Crypto Centre members in new ways as they look to scale their crypto businesses and tap into some of the world’s most exciting markets.”
