“To my Microsoft family: thank you. These past few years have been deeply meaningful. I’ve had the privilege to work alongside some of the brightest minds—building secure systems, responding to some of the industry’s toughest challenges, and shaping how we protect people and data at scale. I’m grateful for the trust, collaboration, and constant learning, and I carry those experiences with me into this next chapter.
“I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined Adobe as Chief Security Officer. Adobe has long been a company I admire — for its culture of creativity, innovation, and its unwavering commitment to security. I’m excited to work with the outstanding Adobe Security team to build on the strong foundation Maarten Van Horenbeeck has laid. Maarten, thank you for the warm welcome and for your leadership — I’m truly looking forward to our partnership. There’s so much to look forward to as we continue to evolve Adobe’s security posture to support our customers, products, and people!”
Aanchal brings with her an extensive background in cybersecurity, having spent over five years at Microsoft. She served as the Vice President of Azure Security and later Corporate Vice President for Cloud and M365 Security. She also held the title of CVP and Deputy CISO before being moved to lead the Office Product Group in December 2023, following an internal shake-up.
At Adobe, she succeeds Maarten Van Horenbeeck, who will remain with Adobe, transitioning into a new role under Gupta’s leadership.
Aanchal holds a master’s degree in software engineering from San José State University and a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, in India.
