P2P.org, a non-custodial institutional staking provider, has named Betsabe Botaitis as its new Chief Financial Officer, bringing more than two decades of global finance leadership to the company.
The appointment comes as demand for institutional-grade staking infrastructure continues to rise. P2P.org said Botaitis’ arrival reflects its focus on operating with strong financial discipline, delivering transparent and reliable data, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency across multiple Proof-of-Stake networks.
Botaitis has built a career across financial services, fintech and Web3, with experience spanning governance, treasury management and scaling operations in fast-growing environments. She began her career in retail banking before moving into senior finance roles at Citigroup and LendingClub. She later co-founded a blockchain company, where she also served as chief financial officer.
This mix of traditional finance and crypto-native experience has shaped her approach to building long-term financial systems that support sustainable business growth. Botaitis has also been recognised for her leadership in the sector, serving as an Ambassador at last year’s Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit and being named among CoinDesk’s Top 50 Women in Web3 & AI, powered by Proof of Talk.
Most recently, Botaitis held the roles of CFO and Treasurer at Hedera. During her time there, she managed hundreds of millions in fiat budgets and billions in digital assets. Her responsibilities included leading Hedera’s first financial audit, upgrading treasury operations and putting governance and reporting structures in place to meet institutional and regulatory expectations. Her background also includes building enterprise risk management programmes, scaling finance teams and working closely with boards and global partners.
In her new role at P2P.org, Botaitis will be responsible for finance, treasury, planning and operational functions. The company said her priorities will include supporting scalable growth, strengthening internal controls and ensuring its financial systems continue to meet the needs of institutional clients operating in changing regulatory environments.
“Betsabe adds immediate strategic value to P2P.org as we look to expand across markets and deepen our global footprint,” said Alex Esin, CEO of P2P.org. “Her international experience, combined with hands-on leadership through every stage of a company’s lifecycle – from early-stage growth and M&A to working with large institutions – gives us the financial leadership needed to execute our long-term vision.”
Botaitis said she was looking forward to supporting the company’s next stage of development. “P2P.org has built trusted, scalable, enterprise-class products and services in institutional staking, and I’m excited about the opportunity to support its next phase of growth, particularly as demand increases in the U.S. and Latin America,” she said.
She added: “I’m passionate about how staking secures blockchain networks, fosters long-term ecosystem sustainability, and enables decentralized financial ecosystems. I’m committed to helping accelerate our momentum, strengthening our financial architecture, and supporting sustainable growth at global scale with purpose and precision.”
