Supergoop!, the skincare brand recognised for changing the way people approach sunscreen, has announced that Melis del Rey will take over as Chief Executive Officer and Board Director, effective December 8, 2025.
Ms. del Rey is widely known for her expertise in brand building, beauty technology innovation, and scaling businesses through strong retail partnerships. She brings over 20 years of experience in the global beauty and consumer products industry.
Her career spans leadership roles at major companies including Amazon and Procter & Gamble. Most recently, Ms. del Rey served as General Manager of Amazon U.S. Health and Beauty, where she transformed Amazon’s U.S. Beauty business. Under her direction, the division shifted from a replenishment-focused channel to a leading beauty destination, noted for immersive, innovative, and personalised shopping experiences.

Gregory Polcer, who has been Interim CEO since May 2025, will support Ms. del Rey during the transition and continue to serve on the Supergoop! Board of Directors.

Ms. del Rey began her career in academia as an engineer and researcher, earning a Ph.D. in New Product Development & Engineering Design and a B.Eng. in Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Management from The University of Nottingham. She later spent over a decade at Procter & Gamble in marketing and sales leadership roles. For the past 11 years, she has scaled Amazon’s global Health and Beauty business and serves on the Board of Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW).
