Hims & Hers Health, Inc., a leading digital health and wellness platform, has announced the launch of a new women’s health specialty focused on menopause and perimenopause care. The move marks a major expansion for the company as it works toward achieving $1 billion in annual revenue by 2026.

Starting this week, women can access the platform to consult with healthcare providers and receive personalised treatment plans tailored to their medical history and preferences. The new offering aims to address a long-standing gap in women’s healthcare by making menopause and perimenopause treatment more accessible and affordable.

Data shows that women spend an average of nine years in poor health, around 25% longer than men, significantly affecting their ability to work and maintain their quality of life. Since its founding in 2018, Hers has focused on improving access to care by connecting women to trained healthcare providers and convenient treatment options. Today, the platform serves more than half a million subscribers and continues to expand its reach.

By entering the menopause and perimenopause market, Hers is positioning itself to serve a broader group of women seeking targeted care. Around 1.3 million women in the United States experience menopause each year, yet only about 30% of OB/GYN residency programmes include formal training on menopause care. As a result, many women are left to manage symptoms such as mood changes, sleep disruption, and dry skin without proper medical guidance.

“This isn’t just about medication – it’s about building and growing a platform that women can trust to access the care they need. Women have been navigating an outdated healthcare system that wasn’t designed for them for too long. Hers was built to serve every woman on her terms,” said Dr. Jessica Shepherd, Chief Medical Officer of Hers. “I’ve been an OB/GYN for more than 20 years, and I know that transforming the healthcare experience for women starts with increasing access to providers who are trained specifically in caring for women at every life stage. As one of the largest digital health platforms, we can help change the way women experience healthcare and thrive.”

Eligible users can access personalised menopause and perimenopause treatment plans, which may include prescription medication in the form of pills, patches, or creams. Treatments may feature estradiol, a naturally occurring hormone that helps ease symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats, as well as progesterone, which supports uterine health and can improve sleep quality.

Each customer’s treatment plan will be overseen by an independent, licensed provider specialising in menopause care, ensuring continuity and adjustment as needed. Hers also confirmed that it plans to expand its treatment range further in the coming year, reinforcing its commitment to providing comprehensive women’s healthcare through a scalable, digital-first model.
