Talabat has announced the graduation of the second cohort of Academy X, Kuwait’s largest women’s empowerment initiative dedicated to technology and entrepreneurship. The programme, run by CODED Academy and sponsored by the leading regional online ordering platform, reflects talabat’s commitment to supporting Kuwait’s digital economy and preparing a new generation of female leaders in tech.

The 2025 edition’s second intake brought together a group of Kuwaiti girls aged between 14 and 18. Over the course of the programme, the students were introduced to a range of skills spanning artificial intelligence, app and web development, UI/UX design, entrepreneurship, and leadership. By the end, participants presented more than 50 projects, each highlighting their ability to apply newly acquired digital knowledge to practical solutions.

Speaking about the graduation, Bader Al-Ghanim, Vice President and Managing Director of talabat Kuwait, praised the students’ dedication. “We are proud of all Academy X participants, and we commend them all on their hard work and dedication, which are evident in the aspiring and future-ready projects they presented. While we stand behind all Kuwaiti youth on their journeys to becoming the country’s future tech leaders, we are especially committed to supporting girls and ensuring they have the necessary resources to advance in the STEM fields and contribute to the national technology and innovation ecosystem,” he said.

He went on to stress the broader importance of the initiative, adding: “As part of our social responsibility strategy, we are keen to continue contributing to advancing digital literacy, coding proficiency, creative thinking, and entrepreneurial agility in Kuwait – all of which are at the heart of the New Kuwait Vision 2035. Our unwavering investment in youth is a direct investment in Kuwait’s digital landscape, which ultimately supports the very growth and expansion of talabat domestically and regionally.”

Academy X, launched by CODED Academy, has become a flagship training programme in Kuwait for empowering young women in tech. The collaboration with talabat has been instrumental in its development, with the company providing ongoing financial and strategic support.

Hashim Behbehani, Co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of CODED, acknowledged talabat’s role in helping the initiative thrive. “I would like to extend my thanks to talabat for their ongoing support and the integral role they continue to play in the success of Academy X and the growth opportunity it offers young women in Kuwait’s tech industry. The growing support that we continue to witness from socially responsible institutions, such as talabat, reflects the unity and cohesion that propel our growth as a society and an economy, capable of competing on an international level,” he said.

The current edition of Academy X is not over yet, with one final cohort still to complete training later this year. Looking ahead, talabat has indicated plans to extend its sponsorship into future rounds. This expansion would involve increasing the number of participants, diversifying the training modules, and widening the scope of learning opportunities to ensure the programme continues to evolve.

By helping to equip young women with essential digital skills, talabat’s involvement supports national development goals under Kuwait Vision 2035, while also addressing global trends towards a digital-first future. The company has positioned itself not only as a leading platform in food delivery but also as a key enabler of youth and female participation in the digital economy.

With Academy X set to grow further, talabat’s sponsorship continues to play a significant role in ensuring Kuwaiti girls gain the confidence and technical expertise to become innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders in the country’s fast-changing technology sector.
