Stacie Sire appointed as VP and MD of Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC)

Boeing, the American Aerospace and Defence giant has appointed Stacie Sire as the Vice President (VP) and Managing Director (MD) of its India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) and Chief Engineer for Boeing India. Based in Bengaluru, Sire will lead the strategy and operations of BIETC, succeeding Ahmed Elsherbini, who served from April 2021 to January 2025 and has moved to a global engineering leadership role.

With 28 years at Boeing, Sire brings extensive experience in aerospace engineering and leadership, having worked on major aircraft programs such as the 787, 767, and 777. Her role involves advancing BIETC’s goals and priorities in India, strengthening team capabilities, and supporting Boeing’s business growth in the region. This appointment underscores Boeing’s commitment to expanding and integrating its engineering operations in India as part of its global aerospace and defense strategy.

In her new role, Sire will oversee the strategy, operations and team capabilities in India, supporting long-term business growth. Additionally, as Chief Engineer for Boeing India, Sire will manage engineering strategy and innovation across India-based programs.

Stacie Sire holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and went on to earn a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Washington.

She also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2015, adding to her strong foundation in both technical and leadership domains.

Sire was taking care of key areas like configuration, systems engineering, and structural stress analysis, and also served in senior management roles across multiple aircraft programs. She led fabrication engineering across 20 manufacturing units worldwide most recently.
