In a significant move to modernise the insurance sector, DXC Technology and ServiceNow have announced a strategic partnership aimed at harnessing AI to drive innovation and efficiency. This collaboration brings together DXC’s extensive insurance expertise with ServiceNow’s cutting-edge AI workflow technology, creating a powerful tool for insurers seeking to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.

The insurance industry faces mounting pressure to innovate and grow while providing faster, more reliable services to policyholders. However, many insurers are hindered by outdated, manual processes. According to HFS Research, nearly half of insurers are already investing in technology to align their front, middle, and back offices more effectively.

DXC and ServiceNow are well-positioned to help insurers overcome these challenges. By combining DXC’s industry knowledge with ServiceNow’s advanced platform, they are introducing DXC Assure BPM (Business Process Management) powered by ServiceNow. This solution integrates AI, data, and workflows across the entire policy lifecycle, from policy administration to claims management. It is expected to reduce operational costs by up to 40%, freeing resources for innovation and customer service.

“We are committed to delivering exceptional value to our customers and accelerating business outcomes. Our expanded partnership with ServiceNow will combine our deep insurance expertise with ServiceNow’s advanced AI workflow technology to drive speed, agility and operational transformation for insurers,” said Ray August, President of Insurance Software and Business Process Services at DXC. “Together, we are shaping the future of the insurance industry.”

“Unifying ServiceNow’s AI and workflows with DXC’s deep insurance industry insight has the power to change insurance processes in ways never possible before,” said Erica Volini, executive vice president, worldwide industries, partners, and go-to-market at ServiceNow. “Together we’re helping accelerate transformation across carriers – bringing greater agility and speed to each and every process.”

The new solution, Assure BPM powered by ServiceNow, offers several key features. It includes purpose-built workflows developed from DXC’s decades of insurance experience and ServiceNow’s AI technology. The platform is fully integrated with DXC Assure for enhanced security and seamless integration with other insurance applications. Additionally, it features an AI-driven self-service portal designed to provide policyholders with a personalized experience, offering faster and more accurate responses to their queries. This integration of AI capabilities also automates back-office tasks, allowing insurers to focus on innovation and customer service.
