As part of the global Ring the Bell for Gender Equality campaign, Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX Group) and Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) are set to host a special event on March 7 to mark International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025.
This year’s event carries the theme, “Accelerate Action for All Women: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.” and is being organised in collaboration with the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative (SSEI), UN Women, UN Global Compact, World Federation of Exchanges, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
NGX Group has long been a champion of gender equality, driving initiatives to close gaps in leadership, employment, and entrepreneurship in Nigeria’s corporate sector. Through strategic partnerships like the Nigeria2Equal Project with IFC, the organisation continues to foster meaningful change across industries.
The event will welcome Hannatu Musa Musawa, Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, as the Special Guest. She will be joined by leading female board members of NGX Group and its subsidiaries, including Ojinika Olaghere, Director, NGX Group, Mosun Belo-Olusoga, Director, NGX Group, Ngozi Edozien, Chairperson, NGX Real Estate, Lilian Olubi, Director, Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), and Amina Mohammed, Director, NGX Regulation.
These industry leaders will spearhead discussions on gender equality and empowerment, exploring ways to foster more inclusive opportunities for women in the financial and corporate sectors.
