The third edition of the Remarkable Emirati Women (REW) summit brought together more than 700 leaders in Abu Dhabi under the theme Unleash Your Impact, celebrating the achievements of Emirati women across a range of sectors.

Held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and Mother of the Nation, the event was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan as Guest of Honour.

During the summit, 62 graduates from the second cohort of the Emirati Women Chapter programme were recognised. The programme is a joint initiative between the General Women’s Union and PureHealth, designed to support Emirati women through mentorship, leadership training and professional development.

Her Excellency Rym bint Abdulla Al Falasy, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood, delivered the opening address on behalf of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. She highlighted the summit as a national platform that celebrates Emirati women whose achievements serve as examples for future generations, noting that the leadership has consistently provided the resources needed for women to succeed locally and internationally.

Speaking on the role of women in society, Her Excellency Al Falasy said: “The Emirati mother exemplifies the highest forms of giving. She is the first school in shaping individuals and the constant pillar supporting the family and society.” She concluded with a message encouraging Emirati women to continue their journey with confidence and responsibility.

An address by Sheikha Dr Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan focused on the meaning of impact and the importance of mental health, warning against the pressures created by idealised expectations placed on women. She also reflected on the legacy of the nation’s first generation of women and their role in building the UAE.

The summit was organised by the General Women’s Union and the Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood, in collaboration with PureHealth. Her Excellency Noura Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General of the General Women’s Union, described the event as a reflection of Emirati women’s leadership across all fields and reaffirmed the Union’s commitment to preparing women for leadership roles.

PureHealth Group Chief Executive Officer Shaista Asif said the summit demonstrated growing national momentum around empowering Emirati women and highlighted their impact across healthcare and other sectors.

The event also featured keynote speeches, panel discussions and interactive sessions, and marked the opening of registration for the third cohort of the Emirati Women Chapter programme, which will welcome 100 new members.
