In alignment with its mission to enhance female leadership across Africa, SHE Empowerment Global is set to launch its initiative in Ghana. This program aims to equip economically disadvantaged single women, particularly mothers, with vital entrepreneurial skills and resources to boost their income.
A delegation led by founder Lady Patricia Adams Williams, along with SHE Empowerment Global Ambassador Dr. Cheryl Polte-Williamson and Board member Dr. Shirley Clarke, will arrive in the country today for the official launch on October 11 at Alisa Hotel. In a statement released prior to their arrival in Accra, the organization highlighted its goal to empower single women aged 18-35 by promoting them with entrepreneurial training, fostering economic independence, and helping them build a brighter future.
SHE Empowerment Global is establishing itself as a catalyst for economic development in Ghana, focusing on uplifting young women through sustainable entrepreneurship. The delegation’s visit aims to forge lasting partnerships that will enhance the success of this initiative.
Lady Patricia Adams Williams founder of SHE Empowerment said, “She Empowerment Global has set out to break the cycle of poverty and dependency among single women, including mothers aged 18 to 35 by providing economic independence through entrepreneurship training. we foster businesses that are scalable, so that participants not only generate income but can also reinvest and grow.”
Working alongside a group of important stakeholders in Ghana including gender activist Nana Oye Bampoe, Development Consultant Madam Delasi Amable, and education specialist Dr. Benedict Yartey, the delegation plans to engage in discussions with government officials, policymakers, local NGOs, community leaders, and potential private sector partners. The team will visit the Princess Marie Louise Hospital in Kantamanto, Accra, to engage with the administration about potential collaborative opportunities. Additionally, they will present SHE’s vision to the Ghana Beauticians Association.
On October 12, the team will attend a durbar hosted by Paramount Queenmother Mamaga Atove IV and the community of the Leklebi Traditional Area. They will meet with the staff of the Africa Centre for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA). The Executive Director, Dr. Rasheed Draman, a Ghanaian, is also a member of the Board of SHE Empowerment Global.
