Silverfort, a leading identity security company, has announced its acquisition of Rezonate, a firm known for its cloud-focused identity-first security solutions. This move expands Silverfort’s reach and solidifies its position as a provider of the most comprehensive identity security platform available. The integrated offering, which combines both companies’ strengths, is expected to be fully available in mid-2025.
As identity becomes the primary target for cyberattacks, businesses are increasingly recognising the critical need for robust identity security. However, many existing solutions address only specific aspects, such as cloud or on-premises environments, leaving gaps in protection and creating security silos. The partnership between Silverfort and Rezonate aims to eliminate these blind spots by offering a unified security approach that covers all identity-related risks across enterprise environments, from on-premises infrastructure to cloud platforms.
Rezonate’s unique capabilities in cloud identity security will be integrated into Silverfort’s broader platform, providing customers with a complete view of their identity ecosystem. This integration will offer enhanced visibility and intelligence, enabling more effective security decision-making and stronger, real-time protection against identity threats.
Commenting on the acquisition, Roy Akerman, CEO and Co-Founder of Rezonate, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, saying, “After being neglected for years, identity security is becoming the most important element of cybersecurity. We couldn’t be more excited to join Silverfort, as our mutual goal is to solve this difficult problem.” He also praised Silverfort’s innovative platform and strong team, stating, “Silverfort built a powerful and innovative platform, an amazing team and culture, and is on a clear path to market leadership. We can’t wait to join Silverfort and grow this platform to its full potential together.”
Silverfort has seen impressive growth in recent years, consistently adding more than 100 new customers every quarter, including some of the world’s largest enterprises. This growth has been fuelled by strong demand for its unified identity security solutions, which offer protection against emerging identity threats. The company’s vision of delivering a fully integrated security platform has been reinforced by the recent addition of $116 million in Series D funding, further accelerating its development.
Hed Kovetz, CEO and Co-Founder of Silverfort, highlighted the value of Rezonate’s technology, saying, “Both the technology built by the Rezonate team and the people themselves are extremely impressive. Rezonate offers the broadest set of cloud identity security capabilities that we have seen from a startup of their size, covering NHI, ISPM, ITDR, entitlements and more across every cloud asset.” Kovetz added that Rezonate’s flexibility and speed would allow them to scale quickly to meet customer needs, making it a perfect fit for Silverfort’s expanding platform.
By integrating Rezonate’s capabilities, Silverfort will extend its reach deeper into cloud applications, workloads, and infrastructure, providing organisations with enhanced protection across all their digital assets. This includes offering solutions for non-human identities (NHI), identity threat detection and response (ITDR), and identity security posture management (ISPM), among others.
The acquisition gives Silverfort a significant edge in securing enterprise identities, addressing gaps that other security providers are unable to cover. With the combined platform, customers will be able to protect their identities from compromise, whether on-premises, in the cloud, or in between. The platform provides a unified approach to identity security, offering comprehensive features such as the discovery of hidden assets, attack surface reduction, threat detection, and real-time response.
Moreover, the integration of Rezonate’s cloud security features will allow Silverfort to protect critical assets that are typically vulnerable to attack, such as legacy systems, command-line interfaces, and IT/OT infrastructure—areas that many other vendors cannot secure. The expanded platform also promises faster deployment and scaling, enabling businesses to address compliance gaps and meet cyber insurance requirements quickly and efficiently, saving both time and costs.
As identity security continues to evolve, Silverfort’s combined platform with Rezonate’s cloud expertise positions it as a key player in safeguarding enterprise environments against the growing threat of identity-based attacks. The acquisition marks a significant step towards providing a more secure, integrated solution for businesses, empowering them to manage and protect their most valuable assets: their identities.
