Digital healthcare company Noom has further strengthened its commitment to women’s healthcare by welcoming two leading experts in the field. Julia Edelman, MD, has been appointed Executive Director of Women’s Health, and Karen Mann, MD, takes on the role of Medical Director. Both will work closely with Noom’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Adonis Saremi, to continue the company’s mission of empowering people to live healthier, longer lives.
Noom, which has built a reputation for innovative approaches to chronic disease prevention and whole-person health, offers specific tools and support tailored to women’s unique health needs. Its Women’s Health offering includes dedicated content and a coach-led community, with a focus on topics such as menstrual cycles, aging, and metabolism. Dr. Edelman and Dr. Mann will be instrumental in enhancing these programs and contributing their expertise to the company’s broader obesity management initiatives.
Dr. Julia Edelman is a highly respected board-certified gynecologist and author, well-known for her work in women’s health. She graduated from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed her residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. In addition to running her own private practice, she has written extensively on women’s health issues. Speaking about her new role, she said, “Centering women’s health and unique needs at every phase is critical to their care and treatment. Dr. Karen Mann, who joins Noom with 12 years of medical experience, brings a wealth of knowledge in women’s health. She holds an MD from The George Washington University and completed her residency at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles. Certified by the North American Menopause Society and the American Board of Obesity Medicine, she is also qualified in nutrition science and life coaching.
