Nest Health has raised $22.5 million in Series A funding to grow its in-home care services for families relying on Medicaid, as the company looks to widen access to medical, behavioural and social support for underserved households. The latest investment round brings in several new backers, including Socium Ventures, Amboy Street Ventures, Impact America Fund, Hopelab, University Growth Fund and Luminary Impact Fund. Socium Ventures will also take a seat on the company’s board.
Nest Health specialises in providing comprehensive care directly in the home through a combination of in-person visits and virtual services. The company notes that almost half of children and postpartum women on Medicaid do not receive the recommended level of care, highlighting the need for more accessible models.
“Getting to one doctor, let alone five doctors, can be overwhelming for so many families,” said Tim Howe, partner at Socium Ventures. “Nest has demonstrated that bringing care directly into the home can help improve health outcomes and cost savings.”
Funding from the Series A round will support the development of new clinical products, AI-driven automation to streamline care processes, and the company’s expansion into additional states through partnerships with payers. At present, Nest Health operates in Louisiana and Arizona.
“Amboy Street Ventures invests in companies that fundamentally expand access to care for women and families,” said Carli Sapir at Amboy Street Ventures. “Nest’s model succeeds because it delivers comprehensive medical, behavioral, and social care directly into the home—where it’s most needed and most effective.”
The organisation offers a wide range of services, including primary care, mental health and substance use treatment, housing and utilities support, round-the-clock clinical access, and coordination with specialist providers. It also uses AI to automate parts of the workflow between clinical teams and families.
“The home environment is crucial for good health, and a healthy home is required to change generational health outcomes,” said Dr. Rebekah Gee, CEO and Founder of Nest Health. “Nest Health is determined to provide a new standard of care and concrete solutions for better health — and eliminate access barriers for the millions of American families who need an alternative care model.”
Nest reports strong performance outcomes, including a 2:1 return on investment for payer partners, a Net Promoter Score of +98, and contact with 75% of families for whom health plans had no working phone number. The company also reports a 60% drop in emergency room use, a 55% reduction in payer churn, and vaccination rates in Louisiana that are twice the state target.
In Arizona, Nest notes that 62% of patients who received a flu shot this season had not done so the previous year. The company partners with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Health Choice in Maricopa County and Mohave County. Founded by Dr. Rebekah Gee, Nest Health is headquartered in New Orleans.
