Gulf Bank has reaffirmed its dedication to women’s empowerment and inclusive workplace practices through a fresh round of initiatives under its Women of Wisdom (WOW) programme. The bank hosted a series of events designed to enhance both the professional and personal growth of its female employees.

Held at the bank’s training centre in Crystal Tower, a key session titled “The Elegant Power: How Women Lead with Strength and Warmth” attracted a strong turnout of women leaders and team members. The workshop was led by Dina Al-Waheab, an organisational psychologist, executive coach, and founder of DEEP Consulting and SpeakUp Kuwait.

The interactive session delved into the challenges women often encounter in leadership roles, particularly the balance between assertiveness and warmth. Participants explored the mental and physical aspects that shape leadership styles, with discussions around workplace pressure, mental health, hormonal effects, and techniques to build confidence and visibility as leaders.

Another session, “Speak Your Brand,” conducted by coach and consultant Rehab Al-Tawari, saw enthusiastic participation from early-career staff across departments. This session concentrated on building a personal brand, encouraging attendees to define their professional identity, communicate confidently, and align personal values with long-term goals.

The WOW programme also introduced a new wellbeing initiative called “Her Balance”, aimed at helping women achieve better work-life integration. Through regular Pilates Reformer and Barre sessions, the initiative supports overall physical and mental wellbeing.

Beyond health benefits, “Her Balance” gives employees a chance to connect with colleagues in a relaxed setting, contributing to a more positive and inclusive atmosphere at work.

Speaking about the sessions, Mr. Hamed AlTamimi, Assistant General Manager – Human Resources at Gulf Bank, said, “At Gulf Bank, we believe that a thriving workplace culture is one where employees feel seen, supported, and inspired. Through the Women of Wisdom (WOW) program, we’re creating intentional spaces for dialogue, development, and connection empowering women across all stages of their careers to grow, lead, and shape our culture…”

He added, “These initiatives reflect Gulf Bank’s clear strategic commitment to supporting female talent and creating a healthy, motivating work environment that enhances productivity and job satisfaction. They also align with the Bank’s broader efforts to advance diversity, inclusion, and build a balanced, sustainable corporate culture.”

First launched in 2017, WOW remains Gulf Bank’s signature internal platform for empowering women and helping them thrive, both within the organisation and the wider community. Monthly meetups continue to cover themes around career development, wellbeing, and leadership progression.
