New York and London are set to host two high-profile gatherings this June aimed at driving support for vulnerable women and girls in Kenya. Organized by São Paulo-based consultancy Levisky Legado, these events seek to generate $25 million over five years in support of the Kianda Foundation, an educational nonprofit with over six decades of impact.

The first event will take place on June 3 at The Africa Center in New York, followed by a second gathering on June 10 at The Royal Institution in London. The objective: to present the work of the Kianda Foundation to an exclusive audience of philanthropists and business leaders who are committed to advancing gender equity and educational access.

For over 60 years, the Kianda Foundation has enabled more than 550,000 girls and women to gain access to education, paving pathways to financial independence and long-term empowerment.

“We expect to raise US$25 million for the institution over 5 years,” said Ricardo Blay Levisky, CEO of Levisky Legado, a firm that has led over 150 initiatives since 2002, unlocking more than $185 million for social and cultural projects globally.

The New York session will include key voices like Lynda Kasina, Director of Sustainability at the Kianda Foundation; Martin Kimani, CEO of The Africa Center and former Kenyan Ambassador to the U.S.; and Mary Ellen Iskenderian, CEO of Women’s World Banking. Meanwhile, the London edition will feature Alice Gugelev, CEO of GDI Africa, and Tom Hall, CEO of the UBS Optimus Foundation.

The events are held in collaboration with the Limmat Foundation, a Swiss philanthropic institution that supports long-term financial sustainability for nonprofits through endowment structures.

Attendance is by invitation only, with limited spots available. Interested participants are encouraged to email rsvp@leviskylegado.com to request an invitation.

These events underscore a growing global movement to uplift communities through strategic partnerships and long-term investment in education. More about the consultancy’s work can be found at leviskylegado.com.
