The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) has welcomed a senior delegation from the Consulate General of France in Dubai and the Northern Emirates to review its leading framework for empowering women and children, along with its specialised programmes in psychological, social, and rehabilitation support.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ghanima Al Bahri, Director of the Care and Rehabilitation Department, joined by Ghaya Al Habtoor, Manager of Corporate Communication and Partnerships, and Roudha AlBahri, Activities Senior Officer, alongside several executive leaders.
The French delegation was headed by H.E. Jean-Christophe Paris, Consul General of France in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and included representatives from the French Business Council Dubai & Northern Emirates, the official French–UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Also present were members of leading French institutions in arts, education, design, and women’s empowerment, including ESMOD Dubai – The French Fashion Institute, The Sorority Foundation – an international women’s solidarity network, Féminin Pluriel – The Global Women’s Network, and Accor Group Hotels.
During the visit, DFWAC delivered a presentation on its comprehensive service model, which provides social care, psychological counselling, and educational and professional empowerment programmes designed to promote self-reliance, stability, and reintegration among its beneficiaries. The presentation also showcased several of the Foundation’s key initiatives, such as the “Empowerment Programs,” the “Smart Case Management System,” and the “Imprint Initiative,” along with awareness projects aimed at strengthening family cohesion, supporting child well-being, and advancing women’s professional and emotional development.
Dr. Ghanima Al Bahri highlighted that the Foundation applies a holistic approach that combines humanitarian care with sustainable empowerment through an operational model built on innovation, partnerships, and collective effort, enhancing the quality of social services and reinforcing Dubai’s status as a leader in humanitarian and social advancement.
The French delegation commended DFWAC’s pioneering role as the UAE’s first specialist organisation providing integrated support for women and children affected by violence and abuse. The delegation also praised the UAE’s overall achievements in social care and humanitarian empowerment, describing them as a benchmark for the region and beyond.
