EDGE Group’s new space venture, FADA, will manufacture satellite systems in the UAE

EDGE, a leading technology and defense group, has launched its new space company, ‘FADA’, derived from the Arabic word for space. This move will enhance the group’s global competitiveness and solidify its position as a leader in space capabilities.

EDGE is dedicated to promoting the UAE’s strategic interests in defense and advanced technology. FADA’s mission is to focus on developing sovereign space capabilities and homegrown technologies within the UAE.

Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, EDGE Group, said, “The launch of FADA will enable EDGE to grow and fortify its position in the global space industry in line with the UAE’s vision of becoming a leader in space technologies, creating the blueprint for a self-sufficient and innovative ecosystem. FADA will establish advanced facilities for developing, manufacturing, and testing satellite systems and subsystems, offering comprehensive space solutions. Services will include Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Optical (EO), and Infrared (IR) payloads, satellite platforms, and cybersecurity, catering to local and international clients.
