Drukair, the Royal Bhutan Airlines, has launched its much-anticipated direct flight from Dubai to Paro, Bhutan. This is an important step in connecting Bhutan with Dubai, a lively city. The new Dubai-Paro route will run twice a week, starting on October 28.

Royal Bhutan Airlines announced that this initiative reflects its dedication to offering travelers easier access to Bhutan’s unique beauty, culture, and tranquility. The new route is designed to draw more visitors from the UAE and the wider GCC region, promoting cultural exchange and boosting tourism growth.

The launch ceremony saw the participation of senior officials, including Chitem Tenzin, Bhutan’s Ambassador to Kuwait, as well as important representatives from Dubai Civil Aviation and Dubai Airports. Key travel industry partners from the UAE and the Bhutan Department of Tourism were also present.

Drukair plans to expand its network by launching direct flights from Kuwait to Bhutan in the summer of 2025.
