M42, a leading force in tech-enabled global health, has proudly announced the appointment of Dr. Summia Zaher as the new Chief Executive Officer of Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children. Dr. Zaher is set to steer the hospital towards further excellence in women’s and children’s healthcare across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, aiming to establish it as a premier benchmark for quality care.

With over twenty years of experience in healthcare, Dr. Zaher has made significant contributions since her arrival at Danat Al Emarat as Medical Director. Her extensive background includes expertise in non-invasive treatments and minimal-intervention labour practices, alongside a wealth of experience gained during her time with the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK. Dr. Zaher’s leadership fellowship in obstetrics further enriches her qualifications, providing her with insights that resonate with the hospital’s commitment to delivering outstanding care for women and children.

In her role at Danat Al Emarat, Dr. Zaher has been instrumental in enhancing the hospital’s Research and Development Committee, leading initiatives aimed at achieving exceptional patient outcomes. A passionate advocate for patient education, she is dedicated to empowering women with the knowledge necessary to make informed health choices.

Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children is devoted to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. It brings together a multidisciplinary team of obstetricians, midwives, psychologists, dietitians, and other specialists to support women throughout their health journeys.
