Adidas has announced that Candace Parker is now entering a new phase of her career as the president of adidas women’s basketball.

In this role, Parker will be in collaboration with the brand to build a strong platform that empowers the future of women in sports. The WNBA legend will put her experience in the sports to good use and will make the sport accessible and represented and also will break down barriers on a global scale. She steps into this position as she retires from her active sports career. With full support from adidas, Candace Parker will implement innovative strategies and empowering initiatives that will encourage the next generation of women in sports to dream bigger and achieve higher. This collaboration is a culmination of Candace Parker’s 13-year-old association with the brand.

Candace Parker is said to improve the brand’s stories, which include all-stars such as Aliyah Boston, Hailey Van Lith, Kahleah Copper, Aaliyah Edwards, Chelsea Gray, Betnijah Laney, Alysha Clark, Nneka Ogwumike, Chiney Ogwumike, and Erica Wheeler, among others. She will also be overseeing the adidas women’s basketball product line.
