Bank of America has unveiled a new multi-year partnership with Sir David Beckham, appointing him as an ambassador for its international sports programme, Sports with Us. The agreement will see the former England football captain support the bank’s global sports portfolio, which features major brands and events aimed at driving progress, recognising achievement and supporting communities.

Sports with Us is structured around long-term investment in initiatives that aim to inspire and connect communities through sport. “Sport has the power to bring people together and to create a lasting impact on young people and communities all over the world.  I’ve seen firsthand how programmes such as Sports with Us make real change and allow access and opportunities that are vital in our communities,” said Sir David Beckham. “I applaud Brian Moynihan and his team’s long-term plans to use sports as a vehicle for change. I’m inspired by their efforts which have made me reflect on my own experiences both in sport and through my work with organisations like UNICEF. I am proud to partner with Bank of America to extend this work and use my platform to shine a light on their incredible and impactful Sports with Us programming.”

The partnership builds on Bank of America’s extensive sports investments across the United States, supporting participation, well-being and access for young people, while generating significant economic impact in host communities. Looking ahead to 2026 and future years, the bank will continue backing major global sporting events including FIFA World Cup 26™, the Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America, the Masters Tournament and the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, as well as the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

“Sir David’s work to support communities around the world and his passion for helping others excel, achieve and participate in sports are second to none. He shares our drive to connect and empower people through sport,” said David Tyrie, President, Marketing, Digital and Specialized Consumer Client Solutions. “With Sir David’s help, we’ll accelerate change and invest where it matters most.”

Bank of America categorises its sports partnerships into several major areas:

Soccer:
As the official bank sponsor of FIFA World Cup 26™ and the official bank partner of the U.S. Soccer Federation, the company is leveraging football to connect with billions of fans across the U.S. and worldwide.

Endurance:
The bank highlighted the impact of its involvement in the Chicago Marathon and Boston Marathon in 2025, describing them as key events that helped the organisation engage with millions of fans. The two races generated a combined economic impact of more than $1.1 billion, with giving totals exceeding $90 million and more than 400 partner organisations benefiting.

Golf:
Bank of America is a Champion Partner of The Masters Tournament through its longstanding collaboration with Augusta National Golf Club, with involvement extending to the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, Latin America Amateur Championship and Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship. To widen access to the sport, the bank launched Golf with Us, an initiative designed to bring hundreds of thousands of children into the game over the next five years.

Sports with Us clinics:
Every year, the bank brings together professional athletes, public figures and Bank of America employees in multiple U.S. cities to run youth sports clinics. These sessions aim to help children develop key life skills through sport. Over the next decade, the goal is to support hundreds of thousands of young people by equipping them with the tools they need to succeed both in sport and beyond.

The partnership with Sir David Beckham is being managed through Authentic Brands Group (Authentic), which co-owns and oversees his brand. Authentic Live, the company’s live events division, will help deliver event support for Bank of America across its sports programming in the United States.

The alliance reflects Bank of America’s continued investment in sport as a platform for cultural impact, community engagement and long-term development opportunities.
